Hello all
Today we bring modem internet and configured it
To distribte IP address instead of ip office
After done this configuration i observed all ip phones disconnected and showing message(finding router) and also lost all my configuration in ip office.
We need use intrent in my netwotk.
I disabled dhcp in ip office but same result ip phones disconnected.
Kindly advise me to avoid this issue.

thank you

Add option 242 string to "modem" (Router?) so that it will provide IP addresses to the phones instead of the IP Office, but the option string will tell the phones the Call Server and File Server address

Try the middle ground first. Reenable DHCP on the IP Office but on the System | LAN1 | LAN Settings, follow Advanced | DHCP Pools tab and select Apply to Avaya IP Phones Only.

You probably need to look at the IP Routes in the system's configuration. You probably need to have the default one (0.0.0.0) now set with the Gateway IP Address set to the IP Address of the modem and destination LAN1.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Thank you for reply

I am using I office as TFTP and HTTP sever for ip phones, we have preconfigured modem not a router form ISP..

this Modem should be connected to LAN1 in IP office device ?

and let Modem distribute IP address or make IP office to distribute ip Address ? DO I need manageable router ?

My network as Follow ------ we have POE switch and All IP phones connected to it with IP office appliance with analogue line every thing working fine but

i need provide internet to other device such as laptop and desktop ....etc

Note :already activate advanced DHCP in LAN (select Apply to Avaya IP Phones Only.)
this also did not work.

Thank you

Which modem or router do you have so we can understand the best way forward.

You can manually set the IP address on phones but this can be hard work if you have a large number.

thank you
issue resolved by creating vlans , it's working fine now.

Thank you for posting resolution.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
