AVAYA IP Agent Upgrade from R4-to-R5

We are upgrading to AVAYA Release 5 IP Agent. We are getting 500 Agents

We currently have 500 Release 4 IP Agents. We are going to stage the installation of R 5 Agents. 100 per week.

The question is can R4 agents log in using the R5 RTUs, so that we can provision the R5 agents over time

No, R4 agents cannot login with R5 RTU. I have seen upgrades however where the R4 RTU is not removed just because you purchased R5.
