send monitor trace with SIP options enabled. This will allow you and us to see what the system is seeing for an error.

where are you putting the password for the phone? on the user or extension tab?

Well I had tried setting up J series phones and had same issue.

So i disabled TLS on the system..unticked it.
Rebooted the system to take effect.

So TLS is now out of the equation.
TLS requires a certificate to be loaded on the phone in order to work.

Reboot phone and logged in .
Phone changed to “downloading configuration.”
Now working,.

I hope this works for you.

Do you have a custom 46xxsettings.txt file, or are you using the Auto Generated file?
