I'm trying to connect an Avaya Definity G3r to a Cisco Call Manager 6.1 via a 3845 router using E1 cards at both ends.
I cannot communicate with the Call Manager.
On the Avaya, when I do "test board", test 138 fails. When I do "status trunk 90", I get "out-of-service-NE".

QSIG. I kind of have the feeling it's a connection problem but the lights on my router is green showing connectivity.

How have you got your DS1 setup? Is it set for Q-sig? If you want to pass numbers and more info through try changing the numbering format on page 2 of the trunk to private.

Hi,

I can now make calls to the Cisco System but whenever a call comes in from the Cisco into the Avaya, it tells me "incompatible destination" on the Cisco Router log. It's almost as if there's a protocol mismatch or something like that but the calls get established from the Avaya to the Cisco system.

Jibade.
