Hi, Is there any Avaya Index knowledgable people out there still? I have someone that has a CPU X software level 9.1 and I need to downgrade it to level 9.0 ( I think) or below ??? To take advantage of event streaming. I think Avaya stopped this after a certain level of software??? Is this at all possible? Or is it a case of the software licence key on the CPU is a problem? It also has integrated v/m licence / silent intrusion licence and an 8 channel server licence. Many thanks in advance.

IIRC the event log was ceased on the CPUX & a license introduced to re-enable it.

the event log was originally used by the SDX ACD, Global VM & Seltek VM, the introduction of IVM & CCM mad this interface "Unnecessary" as these applications used Access Manager/Delta Server to obtain the necessary information
(the event log license was added because customers would not replace their Seltek VM's with IVM which was a total abomination)

if you dot already have the license you are probably going to be out of luck

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

You will be out of luck here. If memory serves the event log was licenses from R9 on the INDeX, your CPU-X will not drop down that low.

Best bet would be to scour the 2nd hand dealers and ebay for a CPU that has what you need as it's been nearly 15 years since you could buy an INDeX license!!!

Failing that, it could be time to retire the reliable old girl.
