Avaya index 2030 phones not ringing on IP403 DT

In the handset programming there are 2 ringer settings one for internal and one for external, are they both turned on?
Also as Tom said are they ringing at all, its very common for the ringers to go faulty on these phones. Tap the phone on the desk whilst its supposed to be ringing does it start again?

If you tap it on the desk three times it removes any call barring

If he picks them up really funnily that could explain why he dropped it

I have loads of sites where the 2030's stop ringing.
The display will show a call coming in and the message waiting light will flash.
If you unplug the phone and swap it with a worker suddenly they will both start to ring but wont last.
If you have the same problem then best bet is to change the phone.

I'm with RTGDFM on this.
Simply the phone is faulty. A swift tap on the top of the speaker will fix it for a bit sometimes.
Done it many times. Customers face is a picture when they catch you and say "You have to be joking?!?!?"

best way of fixing a 2030
gallon (4.5l) of diesel, a pile of DT phones, a DT expansion unit and or processor, and a box of matches.
Mix all but the final ingredient
Finally, retire to a safe distance and use the matches
Don't forget the marshmallows!

ok - i get the picture... i seem to have the same problem on all phones fitted with headset and in off hook mode.
the volumes are set low and yes the internal and external rings are set to EXT RING ON. the GROUP dot is there and the Divert / No calls have NO dots............
which phone is everybody going for if we ditch all the 2030's ? ( IP403 DT 3.0 (40) ) These are mostly incomming calls via headset

Like I said on another forum...
DT phones and 3.0.40 do not work....
(perhaps you could PM on that forum)
