Hi,
Im about to deploy 60 installations of Avaya i2050 softphones in our callcenter. We have the license server installed and working.
Softphone version 4.4 SP6
We would like to avoid any manual configuration on each of the clients, so server, TNs etc. are loaded when the agents start the software.
I have been looking at the i2050 ConfigurationTool.exe (Utility for creation of profile settings to enable rapid deployment of the
2050 IP Softphone on user desktops.) This tool comes with the latest version of the softphone. However I cannot find any new description of how this is supposed to work, when it comes to loading a profile and settings.
An older release descriptes how to modify and change i2050settings.ini and call the i2050 ConfigurationTool.exe with the .ini file as parameter.
However, there is no i2050settings.ini in my installation directory or anyware else on the client. I have tried to create with the example from above (see avaya link).
Is this the way to do it, or is there another way to push an individual config file with server, TN etc. to the softphone client?
