Dear Telco workers of the Tek-Tips world :) Thanks everyone as always for this great site and its contents!

I currently face an issue where a gateway (g700 in this case) will randomly reset at seeminlgy random times. The logs show that the link is lost with the CLAN at the core site however handsets remain registered to the main site, our NMS detects no other network issue, we have scoured through the network path and see nothing to cause this link loss to only the gateway. on the Avaya side we have replaced the gateway and upgraded S8300C to S8300D, patched, firmwared and done rain dances...

So...does anyone please have any thoughts of seeing anything simimlar?

We've tried to document possible reasons and then rule them out\or exclude them...Including...

- Network factor
- Network configuration
- Internal DoS
- Avaya hardware
- Avaya configuration.

Your thoughts are very appreciated.

Check your bandwidth between the sites. This is an indication that the G700 cannot communicate with the core for a few seconds. Check the EF allocation and utilization
