Hello all,

We've just had a G430 fitted, and I would like some information on how to record announcements.

Our aim is to give nominated users access to change the recorded message as they see fit. There will be no "re-direct" just an announcement at the beginning of the call.

Could you give a non-telecoms techy some advice on how recorded announcements work on the G430 and what steps to take to get them set up?

Thanks.

As far as I know you won't be able to do this in a 'secure fashion'.

What is the purpose of these messages? Emergency line?
If so, I'd try doing something with a voicemail box that doesn't accept messages.

Essentially, all you have to do is give these nominated users console permissions (Controlled via Class of Service/COS). These useres can change any announcements throughout the whole system, accidental or on purpose.
