Dear can anyone help me to figure out if we can make call by connecting analog telephone directly to avaya expansion module or it should come by passing through mdf

Of course you can. Most of the phones in my test rig are connected directly into the expansion modules and control unit base cards. My MDF is somewhere unused in a cupboard.

But in a real customer installation, using a MDF makes labelling things, swapping connections and general maintenance a lot easier.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

You’re able to plug straight into it. Very handy they’re RJ45’s too so you can patch direct into cat5/6 cabling as if it were a network switch
