Good afternoon,
We are having an issue where random users in our organization will lose the ability to be instant messaged by other users. When mousing over the speech bubble icon for the affected users, we receive the message, "Contact does not have a messaging address," and we are unable to open a chat window for that user. The affected users, however, are able to initiate instant messenger sessions with other users.
This will happen seemingly at random. Users who have been able to be instant messaged in the past will one day no longer be available, and they will remain unavailable for several days before the problem apparently just goes away.
There is no discrepancy between affected users' Unique ID in IPO and their email address used for their Spaces account.
I'm finding very little information online regarding this specific error message--there was one thread on these forums from someone who seemed to have fixed it by double-checking the Unique ID in IPO, but as I stated above, there is no discrepancy for any of the affected users I'm seeing today, and it makes no sense that users who previously had been able to be instant messaged would suddenly no longer be able to be messaged.
I'm at a loss, here--help, please!
