Avaya Equinox and Peer Verification

Hi all, have currently a remote worker environment setup that is working fine but would like to add Peer Certificate Verification. Looking at the SBC, it looks like you have to upload the peer certificate authority. Would this mean that if I was to purchase a public cert from say Symantec that the Peer Certificate authority that I would need to upload would be the Symantec public CA?
Been trying this setup and whenever I try to connect using communicator I get a "Alert Fatal, Description: Unknown CA"

Would love to understand more how this Peer Verification works
