Avaya Element Manager Lost Elements

The Nortel Element Manager used to lose all of the elements at times, just come up blank. This has happened with the Avaya version and I can find the files to copy.
Anyone have an idea how to find the elements so I can back up the database and easily restore?

look out for install directory\summary.xml

e.g. c:\program files\avaya\BEM\access\summary.xml

If you save a valid summary.xml (rather than one with no elements) you can just copy the saved summary.xml back.
