Hi Guys,

Is the Avaya communicator for MAC compatible on Avaya IP Office Server Edition 11.0?

What version of Avaya communicator should we use?

Hi,

We have upgraded our server edition to 11.

Can you please let me know if Avaya Communicator is compatible with Mac OS?

Thanks

It's only Web Communicator that works on Mac. Will work on R11 but will require a CA Cert iirc.

If you're on R11, go Equinox (Or IX Workplace, whatever they're calling in this week)

Thanks guys,

Do the Equinox need a license or the power user license is enough?

Thanks guys, I will give a try.

for the computer connected to the network locally, do we need to create a certificate?

I can see the error is "Failed to download all certificate".

Is the Equinox works with h323 or works only for sip extension?

Equinox is SIP only. Your computer has to trust the root certificate of the issuer that created the IPO certificate.

Have a look here even if it covers iPhone:

IP Office remote service Fixed price SIP trunk configuration: CLI based cale blocking: SCN fallback over PSTN:

I managed to configure the avaya equinox. Calls is working internally but when I try to call external number the error is" Unable to start a call"

Did I miss something here?

I am getting the exact same issue. I can call internally and receive calls but no external calling. Tried on a different PC as a different logged-in user. That one can call out externally. I then log in as the problematic user and still cannot call out externally. This tells me it is an IPO issue, not application. Any ideas?

IX Workplace for Mac works great.
You need an OfficeWorker license. PowerUser is only required for using IX Workplace on mobile devices (IOS/Android)

As for external calls not completing, check to make sure the number is being sent properly.
Do you require 9 to get an outside line?

Check this..
Open IX Workplaces on your Mac.
Open IX Workplaces Preferences
Click Advanced
Turn on Dial Rules, and fill in the fields properly.
