I am looking for a way to export out the complete CMS Userlist. Also I have been asked if I can export out the Agent list.

Do anyone know the unix command to pull the two types of list and prepare to export?

Is there a way to ftp/sftp and get the file that has the userlist agent list?

Use centre-vu supervisor. Go to DICTIONARY, then the REPORT tab, then LOGIN IDENTIFICATIONS

You can setup direct access to the tables using the ODBC Drivers and MS Access. Check out the documentation for setting up ODBC, lots of discussion on this forum.

The other way you can do it isn't pretty but it works.

Set up a non-existant printer in the CMS system and lannch CMS in terminal emulation mode.

For a list of users with logins to CMS you would go to User Permissions > User Data > List All. Then click on the commands button, or press F3 and select Print window.

For the agents defined in CMS you would do what lopes1211 stated, List All and print the list.

Then using Hyperterminal, log into the CMS system, navigate to /var/spool/lp/temp and find the printer files that are stuck in queue (because it can't print to a non-existing printer).

Export these to your computer using the command: sz *

You need to define in Hyperterminal where to send the files under the menu option Transfer > Receive File. Set the path and define the User receiving protocol as Zmodem with Crash Recovery.

You can then import the printer files into Excel.

Quoting only proves you know how to cut and paste.
