Avaya CMS 16.2 user: root password denied

Hi

Having a problem when trying to log in with root when password is entered get access denied. Is the first time I saw this message.
Anyone knows how to solve this.

I know that I can't log in as root and that I need to log in as a different user and then use "su root" if I'm using terminal emulator. If I'm using putty on port 22 then I can log in directly as root. I'm on ver17.

might need Avaya to reset it. Going forward create a root2 account just in case root password is changed.
