There's a couple of threads on other Avaya-related forums with people who have achieved this.
Their solutions range from VBA to VB6 to VB.NET and some in C++.
You should Google it, but here are some links:
That one actually provides you with Vb6 source where the programmer has managed to use the Avaya DLLs to get the data directly. It should be easy as pie to port it to VBA.

I am successfully using VB6 to get direct access to the data, so it is indeed possible. There is no documentation as it is not intended to be used this way.
