Has anyone added more IP phone licenses to Avaya CM 6.3, I know under CMM you go to WebLm but it does not appear it is the same way for IP License on CM. We only have embedded mail and CM system that is all. We have tried locating this in Manual and even on line but no luck.

When I display parameters customer options maximum stations 80 used 80 we have total 80 phones so some are 9611g and 9608 sets with some analog sets too. we can no longer add sets. So where are the procedures to add licenses which document steps you thru this new to product.


 
CM 6.3 typically doesn't have IP station licenses. Normally, you buy suite licensing - so, 1 Aura Foundation user includes a station (of any type), voicemail box, Presence Services license, etc. A "mobile user" includes all of the above plus a license for Client Enablement Services or some other mobile integration piece.

CM and CMM both look to a WebLM for what's available and acquire the licenses loaded on that WebLM.

Now, if you're a hotel or a hospital and you have a heavy reliance on analog ports, you can probably save a couple of dollars per user if you only license analog stations, but it isn't typical these days unless you're in one of those specific markets.

If you post a "display system-parameters customer-options", I'm sure several people here could tell you what you're CM is capable of. I can tell you that CM normally acquires everything from your WebLM, so its unlikely you've incorrectly configured your system and inadvertently not acquired licenses you're entitled to use.
