Hi all,
Can someone help me with some Avaya / telephony understanding please. I'm fine with most of the day to day config and admin stuff but always been slightly confused with the following.
Phones register with CLANS cards or PROCR - got this down...
IPSI connect the different port networks together ... can understand that...
I need some advise on the following. We have 2 sites with ISDN trunks at each site, both have local CM ESS is case of WAN failure. In normal operations a call can be delivered to site A but then answered by staff at Site B. How is the RTP traffic sent to the phone at Site B? I want to know is terms of networking what in the Avaya world tells / sends the traffic to ( in our case ) to our Cisco routers, which is then forwarded to the Router at site B?
What commands on the Avaya would show this please.
I'd like to understand more on how to managed and do some bandwidth calculations on how much network bandwidth we're using and how to calculate a potential move from ISDN to SIP.
