Recently our BCMR server went south, so as a quick replacement we built a window xp box and added software. The previous server was running in the same environment and nothing has changed in the switch. (CM 6 8800 EAS)

When installing the software I am asked for user name and password and am assuming it is the same as the servers???
Any help

Normally that is a specially created account on the CM-host side.
It's just a SAT account,(with the proper rights set up), it uses in the background.
It would probably run on your own account,
but you don't want to have that box logging in with your account for various reasons.
If you don't know the password, just modify it there.
If your original installation image was from < CM4 you may need to patch.
see - PSN# PSN001247u, this would be for BCMRD <= R2.4
