I have been reading some on-line business articles indicating Avaya is looking to sell its contact center software and may file for bankruptcy to reorganize debt payments due in 2017.

Any truth to these rumors and what will be the implications to its customer base?

Released on US Thanksgiving, no sources. They'd file for bankruptcy protection.

In any case, the way it was explained to me is that they're a private company and not a public one - so being profitable/returning dividends and all that is very different than when you have shareholders. They'd have to explore sales of assets to know what the open market would pay. Either they'll sell something or go chapter 11 - but none of that is news. Just a little something overblown on a slow news day I think. They're money situation isn't good, and it is scaring the crap out of people though!
