Hi all,

I have heared a rumour that as of the end of this year, Avaya will sport support of the Sun Sparc 5.
This causes us a problem as this is the Hardware of our CMS server.

Thanks in Advance

John

welshman213,
You are correct, Avaya has announced that the end of support for the Sparc 5 is December of this year. You will need to upgrade your CMS if you plan on needing support.

They are only stopping to support the sun 5 not the sun ultra 5 will still be supported.

Thanks god for that, I have just checked and I have a Sun Sprac Ultra 5, so I assume I am still ok for a while!

Thanks for all your info folks.

John

As a qualifier, Avaya will be dropping support for SUN Sparc 5 systems that are not covered under an existing maintenance contract. Avaya will not be issuing any new maintenance contracts for the Sparc 5.
