I have an interesting situation in the way the DEFINITY displays CID on a digital set. We are planning to use a Viking C-2000 Advanced Door Access Control, with screen pops, to allow us to see who is at a door and control entrance. Everything looked good. We purchased an Avaya CID equipped trunk card and connected the C-2000 to the trunk. (The C-2000 sends out CID indicating which door phone is activated " Entrance Door 1", for example). Then everything went downhill. We found that we could not get CID on a personal line, only on trunks..... sorry to any CEO's out there. So we made a trunk group. We received caller ID, but when we bridged the station we lost the last few characters from the 2nd line. So here we are. The only fix so far seems to be a firmware fix done by Viking for a small fee. Has anyone worked this out already without all the "issues"?
