AVAYA ACS R7.0 "I" patch

We have been having some memory loss problems and I read in this forum that the "I" patch would correct this problem. Does anyone know how I could check to see if we currently have that patch installed on our system?

Also,

I see that we have a silver remote access PC card (which I hear is for R6.0 and down)installed on the system and was wondering if in order for the backups to work properly if I need to get the bluish green card?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

i would have the switch to upgraded to the latest release and not just the I i think J or K is the latest. it will fix you issue and also give you a nice feature call time syncronization meaning if you have caller id the time on the clock will sync with that and you will never have the time off again. except for daylight saving times

Could you tell me how to do the software upgrade. Unfortunately, I have kind of been thrown into this situation/mess and don't really know much about this phone system.

You would need to contact the company that sold the system to your company and ask them to upgrade.

If the system was purchased over the Internet from a dealer, contact the dealer and ask them to send you a PC card with the instructions.

If the system was purchased from a private seller, contact an Avaya Business Partner in your area. They can do the upgrade for you.

There is a chance that the patch will not resolve the loss of programming with your processor. You might want to consider all of your options and go with the one that will best suit your company.

That could also include contracting an Avaya Business Partner to maintain the system on an ongoing basis.
