Hi,

I'm digging around our system and trying to understanding the ARS and AAR routing tables.

What I can gather at the moment is that , AAR tables are used for on network calls, ie calls between sites & ARS
routing is for off net calls.

So if I dial 9 then a mobile number 9 079********

9 is the ARS FAC, then if I run the following command

List ars analysis - I can see the following entry.

Dialed Total Route Call Node ANI
String Min Max Pattern Type Number Req

07 2 11 p5 pubu n

How do I find out which trunks the call is using to go off network, what is p5 ? How do I gather information about
p5?

Do I find information by running the following?

disp route-pattern 5??

What I'm trying to find out ( for my own understanding ) is a point to piont flow chart so that I can see what
path the call is taking when dialling out and also what path is taken when calls are inbound please.

Any commands to help me with this would be greatly appreciated.

You can use list trace station on your extension when you dial an external number and that will show you the route your call takes. Display route-pattern will show you the trunks that are used by that pattern on the first page, and if there is more than one it shows the order of preference that the call will use.

P5 is a partition route table entry, not a route pattern

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

list ars/aar route-chosen xxxxxxxxxx command will be useful to you.

APSS (SME)
ACSS (SME)
ACIS (UC)

thanks for the info, understanding it a little better now, hopefully!
The list ars/aar route-chosen xxxxxxxxxx command helped greatly.

As far as I understand, partition-route-table gives you the posibility to specify which tenant takes which route patern.

In the example below, for partition route table 1(Route Index), Tenant 1(PGN 1) takes route pattern 1 and Tenant 2(PGN 2) takes route pattern 41
