Hi

I have an Avaya 9620 which automatically logs in with ext 717 after reboot or if I manually log in with 744 and later logs out, it's logged in with 717 again. In my IP Office System Status, the Extension Number is 717 and Current User Extension Number is 744 (when I log in with 744 of course). How do I get the phone to automatically log in with 744 instead of 717?

I've read this thread: but nothing happens when I press MUTE and then RESET or CRAFT.

I've also tried to reset the phone via the SysMonitor, but i still logs in with 717

TIA

In manager disable "auto create extension" on the LAN were the phones are registering, delete extension 717 and reboot ipo.
Phone will restart and will stop booting with the message "Phone number ="
Now enable "auto create extension" in Manager and merge the settings, if done so enter 744 as the extension number and the login code of user 744.

A simple mind delivers great solutions

You need to clear the phone if intrigrants solution does not work.
pres mute and type craft and #
Then go to clear and wait until it asks you for the extension number.
Then enter the correct extension number.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

tlpeter, your solution did it - I don't know how many times i tried to type craft yesterday and it didn't work, but now it did.

Thanks to all of you :)
