Avaya 9611 display showing extensions from SBM2401b Button Module

Howdy.

So i have a 9611G enabled to use a SBM2401B button module.
The module is hooked up and works.

I have programmed the 9611 station with 4 extensions, on the button module page.

The extensions show up on the module.
BUT,
They also show up on the 9611 display, on the first page, under the stations 3 call appearances.

I thought that wasn't the case.
That whatever i program for the module, would only show up on the module.

Please advise.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm thinking out loud but I believe that there is a setting in one of the config files which says to ignore blank buttons and put all the buttons together.

In your programming, are there blank buttons on the station page(s)?

Please help----really appreciate any input.
I am facing the same issue---all extensions (bridge-appearance) I have set-up on the button module page also displays or showing on the 9611 main display....how to remove these extension numbers on the main phone display?
--I checked main display button assignments (tab-4) and are blanks and yet--it displays all the extension numbers.

Please advise.

i've never been able to get bridged-appearances to stay away from the call-appearances. it really stinks...

i prefer clarity to agreement - dennis prager
