Avaya 9608 does not save config 2

Hello,

We have a couple of 9608 telephones which we activate "Headset Signaling" on. However, if we restart the phone or pull the PoE cable to the setting are reset to "None".
So the issue is that each time the phone reboots, Headset Signaling is set to None.

Is there a way to save this function/activated state on the phone? Maybe we can edit the 46xx settings file, but wont that affect all phones with this setting?

We are having the same issue. Does anyone have any insight on how to preserve the headset signalling setting between reboots on a 9608 phone?

Have you tried downloading and merging the config after making these changes?

You need to setup a webserver where the phone can backup/restore it's settings.

With Headset Signaling set to "Switchhook & Alerting" in the phone Settings menu, the following appears in the xxx_96xxdata.txt backup file:
Headset Bidirectional Interface=1

I was able to get the settings to persist by enabling backup and restore of the phone settings. Thanks!
