avaya 9601 phone

Hi I currently have cm 3.1 and want to use phones 9601. These phones are currently sip phones but I am told that they can be changed to be just an ip phone. Can someone help in the steps that is needed to get this done. Right now when we plug in the phones it is asking for a username and password and I am assuming that it is in sip mode and needs to be flashed to be ip. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

9601 only works on SIP, so you'll need SES or SM.

Avaya one-X® Deskphone H.323 Release 6.0 SP1 is supported on the 9608, 9611G, 9621G and 9641G IP Deskphones only. It will not load or operate on any other models.

Hi thank you for the info. do you know which phones replaced the 4621 model and if they will work with cm 3.1. Sorry i am not familiar with "avaya one-x" what is that. Is it just the new naming for avaya phones? Thanks.

9620, 9630, 9640, or 9650 (9650 is a call center phone...more buttons)
