Avaya 6408 telephone and hook switch

Hello

I have a problem regarding the 6408 digital telephone.
There is GN Netcom 9120 Wireless headset attached to the phone, to use this i have programmed 3 buttons on the telephone.
1- Headset toggle
2- Appearance
3- Drop

This way the user can "activate" the headset on headset toggle, pick up or make a call using appearance, and hangup the phone, by using Drop.

My problem is that ever since i installed a GN1000 Hook switch, i cant use the buttons i programmed, i HAVE to use the headset to unhook and hangup the phone, if i use the buttons i can pick up a call using the Appearance button, but i dont get the call in my headset, i get it on the phone's receiver instead.?? So now i,m forced to use the headset, when i want to make a call or hangup a call, i cant use the buttons, anymore, because they have no effect on the hookswitch.

Can anyone help me?

I Think that you can't solve it with a 6408. If you can, use a 6416 with the special headset output.
 
Did you try the "off hook" setting for this user?
Might work for you.
