Avaya 5410 message light won't go off

I have a phone whose message light won't go off for. We have an IP Office 412 and are using Voicemail Pro. There were some issues with this user where their name changed and voicemail folder got renamed. Their voicemail works fine, but the message light won't go off. There is no source number in the user's config that points to another mailbox either. I figure it's one of the files in their voicemail folder that needs to be changed. Anyone have any ideas? delete the vm account restart the vm service so that a new account is created.
