I just upgraded a 401 to rel 4.2 and all the 46xx phones echos for the first 10 seconds on an external call. I have loaded the latest bins into these phones and I am still having the problem. I had to revert to 4.0. Any known fixes?

Looks like AGC (Automatic Gain Control) is testing in the first 10 seconds wich setting it should use.
You could try to alter the 46xxsettings file
search for AGC and edit

## Automatic Gain Control (AGC).
## These settings enable or disable AGC.

## A value of 1 enables AGC. A value of 0 disables AGC.
## AGCHAND controls handset AGC. Not supported on 16cc phones.
## AGCHEAD controls headset AGC
## AGCSPKR controls speaker AGC. Not supported on 16cc phones.
##
SET AGCHAND 0
SET AGCHEAD 0
SET AGCSPKR 0

Reboot the phone at least twice (look at the options if the AGC Settings have been altered on the phone)
Hey Conroy 38-Did you ever get this resolved? I have the same EXACT scenario going on. Customer has a IP Office Small Office Edition 4T X 8A 4.0. We upgrade to 4.2 because of volume control/firmware issue. We sell him 64K embedded card. Download the upgraded VM prompts. Now we get intermittant echoing on outgoing calls.
Anybody out there with thoughts? Does 4.2.11 correct this? If I downgrade back to 4.0 will I lose firmware updates? What happens to the VM Embedded Card that I updated the prompts for?
