Avaya 2490 Soundstation2 configuration

What would be the correct type in configuring Avaya 2490 Soundstation2 (Direct Digital)in Communication Manager. I've already tried using 24xx,64xx and 84xx but dont have any luck. I can able call the polycom extension but when I try to call from the polycom , I heard a continous dialtone, It seems the extension number has not been dialled and sent to CM.

I appeciate any suggestions...

dikoalamtoh...you can do a ch alias, add 2490 as a set type in the alias field, and set it up as the desired digital set type, 64xx, or 84xx. Worth a shot.

Forgot to add in the command, ch alias station, my fault.

Try setting it up as a 8434D. We have 2 of them and that set type works well for us. You can create an alias for it if you wish, but it's not necessary.

I forgot to add, only use a call-appr on button 1, every other button shuld be blank.

We do the same thing using the 6408D+ set type, making sure there's 1 call-appr and on button 1.

Thanks for the sugesstions but I tried configuring it to 8434D or 6408D+ with only 1 call apperance but still it doesnt work. I also tried doing "alias" but still the keypad input is not working properly. Do you still have any idea how this thing works ?

It maybe a hardware problem (keypad board). Just my thought.

I thing it's a different Companding Mode in 2490 and Communication Manager.

You need to set it as a 4620 in the alias screen.

ch alias st

choose 2490 on the left and 4620 on the right of the screen
