Avaya 2420 phone beeps after adding EU24 expansion module 1

I have an issue where when I install an EU24 expansion module the 2420 phone intermittently does an audible beep. This is occurs when the phone is both on-hook and off-hook. When I remove the EU24 expansion module the intermittent beeping goes away. If anyone can provide assistance I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
