Avaya 2420 handsets logging out

I am currently involved in a fault where random ACD agents are logged off and the headset light on their 2420 handsets goes out. This can happen during or after a call. If they press the headset key the call is still there. At the same time the time and date disappears from the display. The users are set to auto-answer. CM version is 5.2 sp4.
Has anyone seen anything like this??????
 
I have seen basically the same issue. My agents also lose all button labels on the 2420. CM 5.2 SP4

I only have 19 agents so I haven't lost any sleep over it. Would be nice to know what's up with it though.

Are your 2420s running FW Version: 5?
 
No, we have upgraded them to FW6 but the fault still remains.
