I am trying to set up 1X mobile lite for our iphone users, as I understand it you use FNE codes and EC500. I have the station and cell phone set up in EC500, and the FNE codes are DID's, but when I dial the FNE codes I get "all circuits are busy" and fast busies internally. What am I missing here?

Did you set up the DID's/extensions in the off-pbx-telephone feature name extensions? then set them up in the phone app itself? You will get a fast busy if you just try to dial them.

yes, I have them set up in FNE, is there any reliable documentation on how to set this up on the actual iphone?

I found everything to be a bit confusing, but here is how mine is in Avaya settings on iphone:
emergency number: enable on 911
outside line: 9 (dial 9 from internal phone for dialton)
local numbers: 10
local country code: 1
long distance: 91
international: 011

then under EC500 specific settings:
all of my DID's in FNE in switch are listed here in 10 digits
example: enable is 1234567890 and so on.
In the switch under FNE i dont have the DID just the corresponding 5 digit extension (or how ever many digits yours are)

Open Avaya 1x mobile lite and from that dial pad dial someones extension only and it should enter all the code and the desk phone should ring
I hope that helps, let me know if I made it more confusing for you - K

I have done all this but still cannot figure out how the iphone ties to the desk phone. I have the user’s extension and cell number set up in EC500. extension to extension calls work fine but external calls go out as a cell call not as a 1X mobile call, (the caller ID of the cell shows up not the caller id of the desk phone) And to confuse things even more, extension to extension calls only work from the Verizon iphones not the AT&T phones.

How do you have the EC500 set up? I can open the 1X on my ATT iphone and dial a 5 digit extension, my 5 digit shows up on the caller ID. It shows as the extension if I dial internal extensions and shows as my DID if I dial a DID. My EC500 set up looks like this:
page 1
12xxx EC500 blank blank 1232457890 ars 1

page 2
2 both all both

It works whether or not EC500 is enabled or not on the station because when you dial the access code (FNE) it recognizes the set up from the EC500 station mapping data. Check the set up and let me know what you find.

When you dial from the 1x app you are just dialing area code and number (only 10 digits)? I have tested mine on DID's and also to my personal cell and it shows my DID on CID, no cell info- I will keep looking it must be a setting somewhere. K

we have to dial 10 digits for local calls 5 for extensions. When dialing extensions I get an intercept from AT&T saying my call cannot be completed as dialed

I have the same dial plan- do a trace on the station that you have the set up on. Dial another extension from the App then dial a 10 digit from the App. It really sounds like a setting to me. If you are dialing from the App the station ID should be showing up not the cell ID.

finaly got it to work there is a setting on off pbx station mapping on the second page, mapping mode, it has to be set to both
