Avaya 1X and Windows 7 incompatibility (.net 3.5)

Hi,

There's a user in our organizatgion who recently migrated to Windows 7 (64 bit) and is trying to download Avaya 1X 5.2 SP3. They are unable to install .net 3.5 (pre-requisite). All Avaya instruction documentation states Avaya 1X is compatible with Windows 7. Instructions also state to install .net 3.5 prior to Avaya 1x. Any suggestions/recommendations? I'm not sure where to go from here.
