It all depends on the sofware version of the IP Office, if that supports both phones then you can mix at wish.
The 1608i is supported from Release 6 and the 9611G is supported from Release 8.
The 1608i is supported from Release 6 and the 9611G is supported from Release 8.

You should be directing this question at your maintainer who should have all the information on how your system is equipped & what would be compatible.
