Avaya 1416 Ringer control

Is there any way to program a button on the phone from IP office Manager to enable the user to turn ringing on / off for Incoming calls for their extension? The user needs to receive all internal calls but be able to choose when the phone rings or does not ring for incoming (external) calls. I want to program this on a button so that they can easily turn the ringing on / off but still get all internal calls regardless of the button status. Is this possible? Thanks in advance for any help.

No. They need a 9608 to do this.
You can change appearance keys (line) from immediate to delayed.

What i would do would be to use overflow hunt groups and enable the member in the first hunt group when they want to accept calls. Use a group key of the original hunt group to provide a visual alert and ease of pickup.

I found Ringer off under Emulation in the button programming and according to the help file info it does apply to the 1416 but I don't know if that turns the ringer off for both internal and external calls or only for incoming calls (external)

Put the phone into DND with exceptions for the internal extensions, but it would be a pain in the a$$ if it was a large site. The other option might be to use a logout of hunt group button assuming they are ringing as a part of hunt group.

...what pain, you can use wildcards like XXX to match internal extensions... but still not quite hoped for (even if very odd) operation.

Test results confirm that programing a button on 1416 phone for Ringer Off turns off ringer when button is toggled to on (green light lit) but this turns off ringing for internal and external calls. For my client this will work if I put dial paging on the other extension so they can still reach her. Dial paging to this extension works even if ringer off is enabled so this should solve the problem. I appreciate the other suggestions as they may be useful in the future.
