how do i change the configuration of an avaya ip1140e to work with a bcm50e? i am wanting to change the DHCP from yes to no, so that i an enter the ip address of the set and the S1 port.

I am not in front of the phones in my home lab now, stuck in front of a Cisco 7962 at work :(

Try following these steps

1-Press Services Twice
2-Choose Network Configuration
3-Enter color*set
4-Then scroll down to DHCP, you may have to toggle the "Auto" and "Manual" soft keys to get the DHCP condition highlighted, change to No
5-Scroll right below DHCP and enter the device IP Address that you are trying to apply for the phone
6-Scroll to S1 IP Address and enter the IP Address
7-Enter 5060 for the Port
8-Repeat for S2 IP Address

Post results on here please.

If the Services twice button doesn't work....

Reboot the Phone and right when you hear the annoying Avaya Tone watch for the tiny words (not the logo) Avaya appear on the phone display....instantly press the soft keys from left to right in a 1,2,3,4 motion. Then you can enter color*set.

Also make sure the firmware is Unistim, not SIP. Feel free to post the firmware load on here.

You need to set the port to 7100, not 5060......that's used for SIP
