I know this is off topic, but I wasn't sure where else to put this.
Does anyone have any experience with an Avamar or Data Domain solution?
What are your thoughts of each?
What limitations have you found? What is the administration of each like?
Also, has anyone used an Avamar solution with NetBackup?
TIA for any and all input.

Hi
This might not be the apropriate forum, but anyway.......
I have the same questions as you have, besides netbackup.
If you recives any answers or can guide me to the "Right" forum, feel free to add a link.......
We have already started som testing, i will encurage my collegue to reply.

The difference between Avamar and Data Domain is in the
hashing logics.and also the compression logics used on the backup client side.

Avamar hashing logic is more efficient.
Also the compression logic used by Data Domain is too
"cpu intensive"

Therefore Avamar would be a better choice.
