Is there a way to list all the unused/unassigned physical ports on the Magix system? I am using the WinSPM program. Also is a “logical port” the same as a physical port? I do not understand were in the system you would associate/dis-associate a port with an extension.

Not directly. But, you can determine if a phone is plugged into a port via your programming phone/console: <menu> <maint> <port> <station> <(enter ext. number of first phone on first module)> <status>. Note that even though you are prompted to punch in "port" number, Legend is asking for "extension". Display will indicate ext., port, type of phone plugged in. On MLX modules, <next> will step to the Adjunct ("logical") port but you will not necessarily know if it has an an assignment or is still default unless it has been labeled. Continue with <next> to step thru all ports. Once you obtain the info, go into WinSPM, print out each parameter, decipher which Adjuncts are in use, and update labelling. One needs to build and maintain documentation, which can be a daily struggle to keep updated. If you keep up-to-date labels on Extensions, Adjuncts, and Trunks, it will make life simpler.
