Avaibility of UMTS

Hello, does someone know if there is a place in Europe where UMTS is ready for use? If too early, who will propose such a service in a very close future (2002-203) ?

The only one I know of is Isle of Man. I think Hutchison '3' service is due to go live in the UK at the end of 2002 early 2003 but dont know any specific date.

Here is a link to MANX telecom who provide the service on the Isle of Man. It was BT Cellnet's ( o2 ) Test bed for 3G services I think. Anyway all the info is on there Website which there is a link to below.

Jd is correct in the fact that 3g is only running in the IOM at the moment. Hutchinson Whampoa own Hutchinson 3G which had been expected to roll out 3g to about 45% of this country by x-mas but is doesnt seem to be happening. There is little to none info coming out of their camp. Wireless guru
