What are you guys using for store-scanning AV? I've been using Symantec, but would like to see what other people are doing, and whether there are any decent comparative reviews out there.

Been using GFI Mail Security. No issues other than a McAfee engine problem that brought everything crashing down last week. Seems to be working now but I have a patch to apply tonight. It uses five different virus engines to scan SMTP and the store.

It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

There are no more PDC's! There are DC's with FSMO roles!

General recommendation for you: don't do real-time scans on the store. Run store scans on the weekend and save your real-time scans for SMTP. It will make your store response-times faster and you will encounter fewer locks. Since all inbound-outbound and just-internal mail hits the hub transport, your SMTP scan will be enough to verify all email without scanning the store heavily.

Already doing that, but thanks! :)

Forefront on my installs. But I also use Forefront on the HT servers, as well as the ET servers. Different engines and settings all around. Plus SCW, MBSA, etc.

Plan for performance, and capacity takes care of itself. Plan for capacity, and suffer poor performance.

I use GFi and Forefront. Like Symantec on a gateway but not on an Exchange server.
