I have a Wheelock external ringer that I cant get working on a 8x24 Norstar system.

I have plugged the ringer into the AUx. Ringer port and enabled AUX. Ring on the line I want to use it on. No luck though.

Any ideas?

totaletech,
What's your e-mail. I have a diagram of how to do this with a wheelock ringer. Installed a few on CICS.Should be the same.
Dmac,

The AUX ringer pair is a set of dry contacts. You must supply your own power supply. Wire the common lead of the power supply through the AUX ringer contacts and back out to one input of the Wheelock. Wire the supply lead of the power supply to the other input of the Wheelock.

email it to tara@total-e-tech.com

I appreciate that very much.

I just used one of these the other day. I also used the aux ringer dry contacts. Had a difficult time trying to get the signal from the power supply to the bell. Try running your 2 wire leads from the power supply to the bell on pins 1 and 4. It did not work on pins 2 and 3.
Hope that helps.

I found that the viking PA-2 works fairly well and it will accept either contact closure or ring voltage.

Still not having any luck getting this Aux. Rigner to work.
I have tried everything above, is there something Im missing?

Split this up into two problems and see where your problem is really kicking you. First use an ohmmeter across the yellow green and Green/Yellow then ring the line and see if you are getting the relay make contact. alternately just short across those pins and see if your ringer goes off. failure or either of those two things to happen will give you an indication of where your problem really lies (8X24 or Ringer) let us know what you get.
