I installed McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 7 and AutoUpdate Architect on a Win2k network. The network is not connected to the internet so I can't have auto updates from the internet.
Therefore, I downloaded the DAT package labeled "DAT Package For Use with Mcafee AutoUpdate Architect & ePO 3.0" from McAfee's website and tried to load this as an UPDATE package into MAA. When loading as an update package, it requires a Pkgcatalog.z file. This file is present, however it fails to load indicating an error with site status file.
There wasn't a sitestat.xml in the downloaded file and the only sitestat.xml on my system is configured as follows:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<SiteStatus Status="Enabled" CatalogVersion="0" />
Other examples of sitestat.xml files I've seen on other systems have a number such as "20031210180510" for a CatalogVersion.
Any ideas?
