Hi folks,

I'm trying to set up NTP on our VIO servers.
So far everything works fine and I can start the xntpd subsystem (startsrc -s xntpd) without any problems.

But after reboot the subsystem is always down ...

How can I change it to start automatically after rebooting the machine ?

Regards
Thomas

You can either add it to /etc/inittab:

ntp:2:wait:/usr/bin/startsrc -sxntpd

or better uncomment the commented line in /etc/rc.tcpip

# Start up Network Time Protocol (NTP) daemon
start /usr/sbin/xntpd "$src_running"

Regards,
Khalid
