Autosave crashes in Word 2007

Hi,

My colleague's PC keeps crashing - it appears to be random so I was initially mystified as to why.

I then decided that it was probably crashing when it was Auto Saving so I turned off the feature and since then she's had no crsahes.

However, I need to get to the bottom of this because she now risks losing work by forgotting to save manually, and it seems unfair that she can't use a basic feature of Word that everyone else does without any problem.

Do you have any suggestions ?

Could it be saving to a file that is read-only, or otherwise protected? I had that once after a crash for other reasons.

Switch the default for files, that's Tools > Options > File Locations

The default saving location hasn't been changed so it's whatever Microsoft set it to me. This is the same as all other users on the network.

Any other thoughts ?
