Hi Everyone.

I'm making an autorun cd so that PDFs opens when they put cd in...

In the Directory I have:

autorun file

PDF file (with links to other PDF)

Folder of other PDFs

Acrobat reader (which I downloaded, filled out the forms, installed the program)

I burned the cd and it worked.

Now I have to revise some of the files.

The problem now is every time I burn the cd, eject it and insert it again
I get the following message:

File MSVCP71.dll was not found...

It doesn't matter what PC I put the CD in I get the same error???

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this as I'm fast running out of time

Have you performed a HD search for said file (msvcp71.dll)?

If it is truly missing, then something else has changed when you reburned the cd. I don't think it's adobe related.

Did you burn the cd with the same software and same method both times? Did you close the session? Close the disk?

According to my google, that DLL is a Microsoft runtime libray.

You can dowload it here,

You could try.

1. Adding the dll to the CD, though I am not sure that will work.

2. Copy the DLL to all client PCs (pain in the rear).

3. Figure out what is calling the DLL and see if it can be avoided. What autorun utility are you using?

4. As a test, change the file that autorun launches to see if the dll is tied to a specific file.

Hi Thanks for you help, this is great...

I copied the .dll files into the Acrobat/Reader/ directory.
Burned the cd and tested it.

I got to the splash screen then gave me a
This program has unexpetadly quit window

stating that error: EventType : InPageError P1 : blah, blah, blah

If I can get past this then I think I'll be home free...

Any ideas

The autorun file is just a plain old one opening a PDF

Ok...

After test after test after test....

It turns out, that you just can't do it. (with version 7)

The solution is to Download version 5 or earlier.

After doing that everything is now working as it should...

Thankyou jdemmi for your help....
