Hi All.

I need to create a Network Share for all users. When a user opens the mapped drive there should be a message thats pops up with info.

Any idee's on how I will be able to do this? I have tried to use a autorun.inf file but I got some problems that it doesn't change to new config if I change stuff within the inf file.

It's a little unclear (to me, at least) exactly what you want to happen.

Here's what I think you mean: You want a mapped drive for all of your users. When they browse to that drive, you want a popup with information to automatically display.

Is this what you want? If so, I don't know that it's possible.

How are you mapping these drives? Are you in a domain? Group policy? Logon script?

Thanks,
Andrew

Hi there,

Jip that’s exactly what I need. Management want me to give info on that drive that the data will be deleted after a month.

The mapping will be made with a vb logon script.

And it will only be one drive mapping. The other drive mappings will be used for other purposes.

Thanks!!

Hmm, well in that case, not sure if it's possible. I don't think it is, if you're using windows explorer to navigate to the drive, which I assume you are.

Thanks,
Andrew
